Tela Dena Perkins is a multipassionate entrepreneur, nurse, and author. For more than two decades, Tela has served individuals and families across the lifespan through mental health, education, nursing, and community empowerment. An Indiana State University alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Life Education and a Licensed Practical Nurse, her work has given her a front-row seat to the human spirit navigating trauma, healing, and new beginnings.

Tela’s entrepreneurial ventures span beauty and fashion to housing and healthcare. In 2021, she expanded into care-centered ventures, including Legacy Care Solutions, an affordable shared housing program; the Care Summit, a free community and caregiver support event; and Legacy Home Care Solutions, a non-medical home care agency she scaled to six figures within its first year while also working as a nurse.

Through entrepreneurship and her own seasons of starting over, Tela helps women know themselves beyond their roles, build self-trust, and lead themselves toward joyful lives of purpose, passion, and profit. She believes our greatest legacy is not simply what we build, but how fully we live, whom we serve, and what we leave better because we were here.
