The Intelligence of Silence

Book Summary

At eight years old, Clark Howard's hearing began to fade.

He was too young, then, to realize the implications this would have on his whole life, how it would plant him in the middle of two very different worlds, but he knew it would certainly change everything.

Clark always refused to let his deafness alter his outlook on life, even when the fear of the unknown threatened to overwhelm him, and his family and friends saw him and his passion for life as an antidote to the sadness in their own lives. He was their hope and their joy.

Clark shares his story in this compassionate and compelling autobiography so that others like him might find their own joy in life through his experience, and know that they are not alone.
