Rob L. Lowe

Robert L. (Rob) Lowe is a dynamic leader and the Chief People and Culture Officer for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). He is currently leading the transformation of the HR function and the organization’s culture.

Rob is also the Founder and CEO of It’s My Story Media and Marketing LLC, which produces the In His Voice Podcast. He is the author of “So What? Keep Going! A Story of Resilience,” a heartfelt and gut-wrenching book that chronicles his life’s triumphs and failures. Before creating his own company, Rob served as the Vice President of People and Culture for Republic Airways, where he provided exceptional executive leadership. Under his guidance, employee engagement, talent management, diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational effectiveness thrived. Before his tenure at Republic Airways, Rob was VP of Human Resources and Corporate Talent Acquisition for JBT Aerotech in Orlando, FL. He demonstrated his outstanding leadership by heading the HR function for JBT AeroTech globally, with operations in North America, Europe, and Asia. Rob boasts an impressive career history, having held leadership roles in Human Resources for several large companies. This includes impactful contributions to Dean Foods, The Nature’s Bounty Company, Accenture, Cummins Engine Company, and Alcoa.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rob is deeply engaged in his community. He currently serves on the Indiana State University Human Resources Development Program Advisory Board. Furthermore, he actively contributes as a Board of Directors member for the Goodwill of Central Florida, Angel City Aerospace Foundation, and Drone Force Indiana. He previously served on the Board of Trustees for Indiana State University and as the Chair for The Employers Association Forum.

Rob's philanthropic endeavors are commendable. He co-founded the IPS to ISU Blue Road Endowment and the Sycamore Legacy of Change Endowment to support diverse students at Indiana State University. In addition, he regularly donates to numerous other charities. Rob's commitment to excellence and impact has earned him well-deserved recognition. In 2021, he and his teams at Republic Airways were honored with the HR Impact Award by the Indianapolis Business Journal for their outstanding contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion, and talent acquisition. Legacy Magazine acknowledged Rob's influential work in 2016, naming him one of the "50 Most Powerful and Influential Black Professionals in Business and Industry for South Florida." The Marshall County School District in Mississippi also recognized him as the "Business Leader of the Year" in 2006.

Rob has a strong academic foundation with a BS in Business Management and an MS in Human Resources Development from Indiana State University. He also holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications and is a certified Circuit Court Mediator for the Florida Supreme Court; his skills extend beyond the professional realm.

A proud Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. member, Rob has delivered captivating speeches as a guest panelist and keynote speaker for various events. Notably, he was the alumni speaker at the 2019 Indiana State University Winter Commencement leaving a lasting impact on graduating students.
