Enhanced DNA Publishing is an independent publishing company that helps new and newer authors publish their books according to the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). We are growing and would like to offer a paid internship to a motivated college student who would like to learn the about publishing processes and the publishing industry. This internship will assist the intern with gaining skills that will allow them to publish books from beginning to publication. Enhanced DNA Publishing Intern:
This is a paid internship (up to 10 - 20 hours per month – very flexible hours)
Internship is available during summer months and renewable during the school year
Most work can be done virtually but some training will be in person
Has the potential for long-term part-time contract employment
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (especially Microsoft word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong grammar/sentence structure and ability to recognize grammatical errors
Ability to create in Canva or other graphic tools (or willingness to learn Canva tools)
Expectations:
Learn the publishing process (from author contract signature through book publishing)
Assist with publishing processes (internal book design, formatting and structuring content for books, client/author service and follow-up)
Create social media content (using Canva or other graphic tools)
Some administrative support (author tracking, award submissions, process improvement)
